Cobb County police have charged a 65-year-old man with the Thursday night shooting death of his female roommate. The shooting took place at 4764 Jamerson Forrest Court N.E. in Marietta.
According to investigators, the Cobb County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from a man at the home indicating he had just shot and killed his roommate.
When officers arrived, they found 65-year-old Dennis Robert Bredar sitting in a chair in front of the house. Officers found the body of 49-year-old Rhonda Callihan inside the home, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Police arrested Bredar and charged him with homicide and aggravated assault. He is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
