Georgia Tech police have announced the arrest of a man in connection with the robbery of a student, and are seeking a second suspect.
Tech police have charged Steven "Turk" Terry with armed robbery, burglary, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The arrest is in connection with the armed robbery at the North Avenue Apartments on July 1.
Authorities said that surveillance footage provided crucial leads after the robbery.
Terry was already in the Fulton County Jail on unrelated charges.
Tech police also posted a lookout for a second suspect on Thursday. They say 21-year-old Terrance Watley, who's also known as Boo-Boo, is 5', 7" and weighs 175 pounds.
Police say both suspects gained entry into the building by tailgating behind students.
Anyone with information on Watley is asked to Georgia Tech police or Crime Stoppers.
In the meantime, school officials say work continues to advise students on safety precautions.
"If they see something, say something. Our police department has 82 sworn officers. We've added additional officers to respond to any calls," said Deputy Chief Robert Connolly of the Georgia Tech Police Department.
The school maintains high police visibility and Tech officers have established closer collaboration with Atlanta police patrolling nearby neighborhoods.
