Former Gwinnett County commissioner to be sentenced

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -

A federal judge will sentence former Gwinnett County Commissioner Shirley Lasseter Wednesday on bribery charges.

Lasseter pled guilty back in May to accepting bribes from an undercover FBI agent posing as a real estate developer to support a proposed real estate development.

Lasseter resigned her post on the Gwinnett County Commission after entering her guilty plea. She faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $250,000.
