Blood drive to be held in honor of slain Doraville detective

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

The DeKalb County Police Department will hold a blood drive on Tuesday in memory of Shane Wilson.

A suspected drunk driver hit and killed the Doraville detective last November as he responded to a call.

The Red Cross will take donations from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the DeKalb Fire Rescue headquarters, located at1950 West Exchange Place in Tucker.

All donors will receive a Red Cross travel mug.

Organizers encourage donors to call head to book an appointment. Call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) for availability.
