A 4-year-old girl who was shot in the head last week has been moved out of intensive care, but still faces a long road to recovery.
Clayton County police say the girl was shot Wednesday inside her mother's van on Highway 54 in Jonesboro.
The mother told officers that she was driving home with her four children when she heard a gun go off and saw her young daughter slumped over. The mother says she didn't know the gun was inside the van and it could belong to her husband.
There has been no word if any charges will be filed.
