Northwest Georgia under Severe Thunderstorm Watch

ATLANTA -

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until midnight for 16 counties in northwest Georgia.

Those counties include Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Walker, and Whitfield.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Isaac continues to move through the Tennessee and Ohio valleys bringing with it the chance of showers and thunderstorms which may have the potential of producing severe storms with strong winds.
