Mark Trigg argued against voided airport bid contracts.
ATLANTA -
A losing airport food vendor wants a judge to throw out the recently awarded airport contracts. Their argument: the city violated state Open Meetings Laws, so the contracts should be voided.
Attorneys for the city and giant airport concession company SSP battled it out in Fulton County Superior Court. SSP contends the city evaluated airport food and beverage proposals in secret and then the city council and Mayor rubber stamped the decisions.
Mark Trigg, arguing for the city, said, everything was done properly and there was no rubber stamp.
SSP also asked the judge to award them attorney's fees for having to fight the city over the state open records act.
Cynthia Wright said she would rule on the motions soon.
