East Point police say a shootout during a home invasion left at least three people injured on Thursday night.
According to investigators, two or three people tried to break into an apartment on Desert Drive. They say the homeowner opened fire and the robbers fired back.
Police say the homeowner and at least two suspects were struck. The injured suspects took off, but later collapsed. They were taken to the hospital in critical, but stable condition. The condition of the homeowner is not known.
Police believe there may have been a third suspect who got away.
