Police say 67-year-old Norcross man was struck and killed by a garbage truck in Gwinnett County on Thursday.
Gwinnett County police say Douglas Ezell was in the parking lot of a business at 6438 Dawson Boulevard near Interstate 85. They say a garbage truck with Waste Management arrived at the business to unload dumpsters at around 8:30 a.m. when the truck ran over Ezell, killing him.
A woman who works at a nearby furniture business, Jenny Delara, tells FOX 5 that the victim, with binoculars, would come out to the parking lot a couple of times a week. She says he would look in the direction across the street, and that businesses would ask him to leave the area.
Gwinnett County police are calling the incident an accident.
