Six Flags Great Adventure says it is going to combine its 160-acre theme park and 350-acre Wild Safari animal park into one property in Jackson, N.J.  It says it will become the world's largest theme park.

Starting next year, the safari will become an off-road theme ride with professional drivers guiding 34 passenger trucks.  The park announced earlier this month that private cars would no longer be allowed in the safari.

The park says that visitors will be able to hand-feed or pet some "wild" animals.

A zip line that will travel above some of the animals is also planned.  That will cost additional money for park-goers.

A massive renovation this winter will include a redesign of various simulated natural habitats and the creation of Camp Aventura.

Safari Off Road Adventure will be included with theme park admission when it is scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend in 2013.
