Thousands expected for metro area Labor Day weekend events - Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

There are plenty of events planned for the Labor Day weekend in the metro area, and the Atlanta Police Department is urging visitors to use public transportation.

Police say thousands of visitors are expected in Buckhead, downtown and midtown from Thursday through Monday. Atlanta will be hosting several events, including DragonCon, Black Gay Pride and several college and pro sporting events.

Police urge visitors to use MARTA or carpool when possible.
