CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago Public School students will have free rides to school on the first day of class.

On Tuesday, Sept. 4, CTA buses and trains will be giving all CPS students free rides.

It's all part of a new three-year agreement designed to promote first-day attendance and starting the school year out on the right note.

Students already receive discounted rates on weekdays, up to 8:30 p.m.
