DECATUR, Ga. -

A Decatur woman battling rare bacteria found in dog saliva has been placed on life support.

Hannah Rinehart's brother told FOX 5 that his sister's condition is now critical.

The 32-year-old has been battling the bacteria at Northside Hospital since July.

Doctors think she contracted the illness from her puppy, but she already had a compromised immune system after beating cancer twice.

Hannah had her hands and feet amputated because of the bacteria.
