A Family Dollar is set to be built in southwest Atlanta.
ATLANTA -
Some Atlanta seniors have traveled all the way to North Carolina to protest a Family Dollar store opening.
Residents from the Summerset assisted living home in southwest Atlanta stood in protest on Thursday where a Family Dollar store is being built. The group says the many discount stores in the area are bringing down neighborhood standards.
Over a dozen seniors headed to the Family Dollar headquarters near Charlotte. They say they will even try to meet with the CEO of Family Dollar and discourage the opening of the Atlanta store.
