Slain serviceman from Ga. honored in Fort Carson

FORT CARSON, Colo. -

A Georgia serviceman killed in Afghanistan was honored at Fort Carson in Colorado on Thursday.
 
A memorial service was held for Air Force Major David Gray of Conyers and two others killed when insurgents detonated suicide vests on August 2.
 
Gray was an air liaison officer and flight commander for the Fort Carson-based 13th Air Support Operations Squadron. He went to Loganville High.

The 38-year-old is survived by his wife and three children.

He'll be buried on Friday at Arlington National Cemetery.
