A Spalding County deputy was flown to an Atlanta hospital after being involved in a rear-end accident.
Spalding County Sheriff Wendell Beam tells FOX 5 News that Deputy Blake Custard was escorting a funeral procession shortly after 3:30 p.m. Sunday when the accident happened.
The deputy was flown to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
