Police are searching for a gunman who killed the owner of a convenience store in northeast Atlanta early Friday. Investigators say it appears the victim was shot when he tried to use a bat to fight off the gunman in the Barnett Street store.
Authorities said Mushtaq "Mike" Moloo, 46, died at the scene.
Stunned store patrons created a makeshift memorial for Moloo on Friday.
"This is devastating to the community. He represented Poncy-Highlands, and it's just a travesty that this happened," said Kristin Scalzitti.
