Braves to host Civil Rights Game

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

The Atlanta Braves will host the Civil Rights Game at Turner Field this Saturday.

Fans will have a chance to spend the weekend learning more about Atlanta's history in the civil rights movement.

Before Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's home run record at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in 1974, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Andrew Young were among the influential leaders spearheading their civil rights efforts in Atlanta.

This is the second year the Braves have hosted a game remembering the civil rights movement.

The Braves will take on the Dodgers this Saturday. The fun starts at 7 p.m.
