Jurors to be chosen in killing of teen at party

Bobby Tillman Bobby Tillman

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Jury selection is to begin Monday in Douglasville as prosecutors prepare to put a former high school football star on trial in the beating and stomping death of Bobby Tillman.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/NjKagh) that Tracen Franklin, who was 19 at the time of Tillman's death, is the only 1 of the four people initially charged who is expected to go to trial.

The 18-year-old Tillman was beaten to death in front of a Douglasville house where two teenage girls were throwing a party in November 2010. He died from a tear to his heart that happened during the beating.

Officials say that selecting a jury for Franklin's trial is expected to take at least two weeks.
