Police say an armed man ambushed a DeKalb County couple on Sunday night, and they're still searching for the suspect. It happened as the victims were visiting friends at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Candler Road around 10:30 p.m.
Detectives say the gunman came up behind the couple and demanded their wallets. He then shot the man in the leg, and took off on foot. The woman was not hurt.
The man who was shot is listed in serious condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.
