Father of teen slain in Norcross home invasion denied bond

Posted: Updated:

The father of a Norcross teenager killed during a home invasion was denied bond by a federal judge on Friday.

Federal authorities arrested Nicholas Jackson Sr. last week on a warrant related to a federal investigation into drug trafficking and money laundering.

Prosecutors say he's a cocaine dealer and burglars targeted his house because he was rumored to have kept $1 million in his basement.

His son, 15-year-old Nicholas Jackson Jr., was killed.

Police have arrested seven men for the murder.

The judge set the next court hearing for August 22.
