Employees of a Lawrenceville beauty supply store are still shaken after a gun-wielding suspect stormed in Friday and threatened deadly force if he didn't get what he wanted.
The owner of the store says he thinks the suspect not only cased the place, but he knew exactly what he wanted once he burst in -- and it wasn't just the cash inside the registers.
Lawrenceville police say a call from inside the Top Beauty Salon tipped them off on Friday afternoon.
"We had a black male that entered the store, demanded cash from one of the store clerks," said Capt. Greg Vaughn of the Lawrenceville Police Department.
Surveillance video shows the man pointing a gun at the back of the clerk's head.
"He put the weapon to her head and demanded that the other employee open the cash register that was located adjacent to the cash register where he was at," said Vaughn.
The store owner says after he emptied the registers he went right for the hair weaves.
He says most of his clients are female so the minute the suspect entered the store, he knew something wasn't right.
The store owner says the suspect kept apologizing when he was bagging the hair extensions.
Police say they're looking for a black male, 18-25 years old -- about 5-feet-8 tall with an athletic build.
Lawrenceville police say if you have any information to give them a call.
