ATLANTA -

Georgia Lottery officials say a Forsyth County pre-school teacher is $1 million richer after playing an instant lottery game.

They say Judy Pelham of Cumming won the top prize while playing the instant game Georgia Lottery Black. She bought the winning ticket at Save Money Food Mart on Hutchinson Road in Cumming.

Pelham, 56, told lottery officials she scratched the winning ticket at home, and that the home became noisy when the family realized they had won.

She claimed her prize on Wednesday at the lottery district office in Duluth, say lottery officials.
