Leaders of the Atlanta Beltline say the project will continue to move forward despite the T-SPLOST's defeat.
The project was in line to benefit from the one-cent sales tax.
Beltline president and CEO Brian Leary says the project started well before anybody ever heard of T-SPLOST and they were not relying solely on that revenue source.
The Atlanta Beltline is a 22-mile network of public parks, trails and transit circling the downtown area connecting 45 neighborhoods.
