California camp gives surf lessons to military kids

Posted: Updated:
SAN DIEGO -

A cool camp in California is just for kids whose parents are deployed, wounded and active duty military members.

It's a two-day camp called "Little Warriors Surf Camp."

This is the fourth year that the San Diego non-profit "Freedom is now Free" has put on the event.

Participants range in age from six to 16. When it's all said and done instructors from the Surf Divas' Surfing School give lessons to about 100 kids.

The camp has become so popular that they've had to add four sessions throughout the summer.
