Woman robbed in northwest Atlanta - Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

Atlanta police are investigating an armed robbery of a woman on Wednesday.
    
According to police, the robbery happened off of Delmoor Drive in northwest Atlanta at around 5:30 a.m. They say a woman was leaving her house when an armed man forced her back to her house.
    
The woman's boyfriend was home, but he refused to open the door. That's when police say the suspect snatched the woman's purse, ran off and jumped into a waiting, black SUV parked a few doors down.     

The woman was not seriously hurt, according to police.
    
A search is underway for the suspect.
