Get Up and Go: Brown Bag Concert Series

Posted: Updated:
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -

Get Up and Go is brown-bagging it for Tuesday! We are headed about half an hour northeast of Atlanta to Lawrenceville and the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse.

This Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., you are invited to bring your lunch, bring your blanket, and bring your moves for the final Brown Bag Concert Series of the summer.

Scott Douglas Steel Drums will perform in the gazebo. There will be free crafts, free crazy hair creations, and free face painting for the kids.

And if you'd rather someone else made your lunch, food vendors will be on hand.

The last brown bag concert of the summer is Friday at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse on Crogan Street in Lawrenceville from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Does your summer road trip include mouth-watering stops at mom-and-pop eateries?  Ours does, and it'll be even better with the help of a new Southern Living book!
Off the Eaten Path: Second Helpings is dedicated to finding the best meals in the south-- and it features some great restaurants right here in north Georgia.  Good Day's Paul Milliken checked out two of those gems-- The Hil in Serenbe, and Weaver D's in Athens!  As usual, he didn't leave hungry.
