A DeKalb County judge has denied the former president of Alpha Phi Alpha his request for a temporary restraining order against the nation's oldest black Greek letter organization.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://bit.ly/N2lUKp ) reports that the judge's denied request Friday also halted the reinstatement as president for Herman "Skip" Mason into the fraternity.
Attorneys for Mason filed the request in DeKalb County Superior Court.
Mason is suing the organization over what he says was his unfair ouster in April over allegations of financial mismanagement. According to the complaint, Mason was removed as the organization's 33rd general president earlier this year after questions arose regarding use of fraternity funds for dependent care and tuition.
Mason has denied wrongdoing and says he has made arrangements to reimburse Alpha Phi Alpha.
