3 accused of letting child eat cocaine waive court appearance

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

A Palmetto mother, grandmother and her boyfriend, accused of allowing a baby to eat cocaine, waived their first court appearance on Thursday.

Ebony Daniel, 34, Charlie Martin, 22, and the child's mother, 17-year-old Andrica Daniel, face charges of possession of cocaine, and cruelty to children.

Police say the cocaine was in clear sight of the 13-month-old baby, who allegedly ate pieces of it while none of the adults were watching him.

The baby is expected to be ok. Police are awaiting toxicology results to determine how much cocaine the baby actually swallowed.
