HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -
Authorities say all southbound lanes of Interstate 75 were blocked for nearly six hours in Henry County after a tractor trailer truck overturned on Thursday.
The truck overturned just south of Highway 155, spilling methyl bromide onto the interstate at around 5:30 a.m., say authorities. They say the driver claimed he struck debris on the road.
The driver was transported to Piedmont Henry Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, say authorities.
According to the EPA's website, methyl bromide is an odorless, colorless gas and used in agriculture as a broad-spectrum pesticide.
All lanes were reopened at around 11:15 a.m.
