ATLANTA -

A family of 12 forced out to the street after being duped by supposed landlords has a new place to call home.

A fire made Tacco Cullins' home on Sims Street uninhabitable. After going to court to resolve maintenance with the people she thought were her landlords. Cullins discovered that they didn't own the home. Cullins and her 11 children were left homeless and Georgia Division of Family and Children Services threatened to split the family up.

Occupy Our Homes Atlanta and talk radio listeners heard the family's story and stepped in to help. Donations poured in to help with expenses and furnishings for the house.

"This is a family that was on the run from DFACS because of living conditions they had nothing to do with. Someone scammed them. The bottom line is they found themselves in need," said radio show host Derrick Boazman. "Everything you see in this house, with very few exceptions, were donated."

Cullins said she's grateful for the support and the roof her family now has over their head.

"I love y'all. Thank you for making a home for my kids," said Cullins.

People have also pitched in for daycare for the children, so Cullins can get back on her feet and go to job training.
