For Tuesday's Get Up and Go, our destination is less than 15 miles south of Atlanta. It is the largest of its kind in the world, and this weekend the Atlanta State Farmer's Market will be home to an event that is the biggest of its kind in the entire southeast!
We're headed to Forest Park and the market for the Georgia Grown Farmer's Showcase.
The Atlanta State Farmer's Market covers 150 acres and is open each week Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This Saturday is special because farmers from across the state will bring their produce and wares to the event.
Not sure if you like something? There will be fruit and vegetable tastings throughout the day. Local chefs and restaurants will be offering prepared foods too. There will be live entertainment and kids can have fun while learning about food safety at the interactive Kid's Patch booth.
