Braeden Swilley won the "Good Sport" Little League award.
COBB COUNTY, Ga. -
A scary moment during a recent Little League baseball game turned out to be a great life lesson for one local young man.
Braeden Swilley, 10, plays catcher for the White Sox out of the East Marietta Little League.
Swilley was accidentally struck in the face by an opponent's bat at close range after getting a hit.
The batter was called out, but what ensued afterward was incredible. Swilley went over to the player that hit him, touched gloves and said he was fine and everything was OK
That action earned Swilley the "Good Sport Award" --- given to one player in 2.5 million Little Leaguers worldwide.
