A judicial candidate accused of theft has surrendered to police.

Investigators say Michael Rothenberg turned himself in on Wednesday.

A DeKalb County grand jury indicted him Tuesday on six felony counts of theft by taking.

Prosecutors say Rothenberg redirected $440,000 he received from an investment group into his personal accounts.

Rothenberg is challenging Superior Court Judge Gail Flake in the July 31 primary. He has denied the claims against him.
