A mother said two men broke into her northwest Atlanta house and tied up her nanny in front of her two young children.
Kathy King said she was at work when two men jumped her fence and burst into her basement around 2 p.m. on Wednesday. She said her 11-month-old twin boys were in the house with a nanny.
King said the men ransacked her home and threatened to kill the 32-year-old nanny.
"They had a gun to my nanny's head, put it right between her eyes and were threatening her life," said King.
The mother said her young twins saw the entire ordeal.
"They're not good today. I normally have very well-adjusted little boys that are all about having fun and they are very clingy," said King. "I left their sight this morning to grab a quick snack for them and by the time I was just a few feet away, they were hysterically screaming and tears pouring down their face."
The home invasion lasted about 20 minutes as the intruders searched for money, according to King. They took a desktop and laptop computers.
There were no injuries.
King said she was increasing security at her room.
The suspects were two black men wearing red bandanas, according to Atlanta Police Department Public Affairs Manager Carlos Campos. Police said the suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
