If you've been dying for a getaway to the mountains this summer, it might not be as long a trip as you think. Sawnee Mountain Preserve, only 40 miles north of Atlanta, gives you the feel of the mountains and nearly a thousand acres to explore.
The preserve is located in Cumming, Georgia and that's where we find Good Day's Paul Milliken.
Information:
Hours of operation for the preserve are Monday - Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Admission is free of charge. The Center features interactive exhibits on the natural and cultural histories of Sawnee Mountain and a resource library/lounge for visitors to relax and read. The classroom/laboratory is available for rental.
