Storms begin to develop around metro Atlanta

ATLANTA -

Thunderstorms began to move into parts of metro Atlanta on Monday afternoon.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning in several areas.(CLICK HERE FOR CURRENT WARNINGS)

According to FOX 5 Storm Team chief meteorologist Ken Cook, storms were began to develop around the metro area at 5 p.m. Many of those storms had already begun to weaken by 6:45 p.m. as temperatures began to fall.

Ken said isolated showers will continue into the evening before clearing out.

There is a chance of evening showers for the rest of the week, according to Ken.
