A recent controversy over U.S. Olympic uniforms made in China has some local residents wondering where local government employee uniforms are made.
Taxpayers spend thousands of dollars each year to outfit public safety officials in Atlanta. Inside one local uniform supply shop, FOX 5's Morse Diggs found that most products were made in foreign countries such as China or Vietnam.
Atlanta City Councilmember Michael Bond said he doesn't recall the issue being brought up before. He said that he believes there should be an extra incentive to buy American-made products.
Local residents said they agree.
"I really believe that it's important for us to buy American products whenever we can," said Penny Miller, an Atlanta resident.
