Downed trees and falling limbs caused damage in Sandy Springs on Tuesday. One woman narrowly escaped injury when part of a tree hit her SUV.
Chris Narcisse said he saw the limb fall on Peachtree Dunwoody Road.
"Slowly fell on top of her. Just four feet further up, it would have killed her, maybe," said Narcisse.
The fast-moving storm knocked down an oak tree in the Aberdeen Forest neighborhood. The tree took down power lines, leaving the neighborhood without power.
Residents said they never saw the storm coming.
"Totally unpredictable. Totally. It drives me crazy," said one woman.
Another tree crashed on a home on Hunting Creek at Mt. Vernon Highway. Officials said two people were inside when the tree crashed, but no one was injured.
