It's time to get up and go on a safari less than 20 miles southeast of Atlanta in Henry County. We're headed to Stockbridge and Panola Mountain State Park for a butterfly safari!
This Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., you can join a ranger hike into the secret world of butterflies.
The ranger knows what butterflies like to eat. And when you know what they like to munch on, you're likely to find them having a mid-afternoon snack. This time of year, you'll be looking for buckeye butterflies, tiger swallowtails, and grass skippers.
The cost is $5 per person and parking is $5 per car. Don't forget your cell phone or digital camera because that's the only way to capture these butterflies!
