The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says an Atlanta man has been arrested on charges he kidnapped, beat and raped a woman.
Authorities say 23-year-old Abdulrahman Hassan Alwi took the woman from a club on Old National Highway on May 29. They say he then drove her to a cul-de-sac in Fayette County where he sexually assaulted her.
The victim was able to get away and went to a nearby home to call 911.
