Marcus Ventress is a suspect in the death of Ryan Guider.
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -
Police say they have arrested a man connected to a fatal shooting at a funeral. The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Task Force said they arrested Marcus Ventress in Columbus, Ga. on Monday.
Ventress was wanted in connection to the murder of Ryan Guider. Two men--19-year-old Carlos Henderson and 28-year-old Delmetrius Heard-- shot each other to death at the funeral for Guider last month, which was being held at the Victory for the World Church on North Hairston Road in Stone Mountain.
Police believe Ventress appeared at the church, which instigated a fight and subsequent shooting. They had been searching for him since last month's funeral shooting.
Ventress is being held at the DeKalb County Jail without bond. More details are expected to be released on Tuesday.
