It's time for Friday's Get Up and Go! We're headed east of Atlanta to Rutledge in Morgan County.
At the Sunflower Farm Festival, you can buy a sunflower bucket for $15 and head out into the 15 acres of sunflower fields and cut as many sunflowers as you can fit in the bucket! If you are more of a supervisor than a cutter, there are plenty folks to assist.
With the weekend expected to be super-hot, you'll want to cool off in the shade and enjoy the live music. There will also be an artist market, an antique tractor show, a kid's enchanted forest, hay rides, pony rides and a petting zoo.
The 11th Annual Sunflower Farm Festival is this Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for adults is $8. For kids ages 4 through 12, it's $5. A family 4-pack saves you a few bucks. It is $25. U.S. military and veterans get in free.
