ATLANTA -

As temperatures rise, one Atlanta area church is reaching out to help the elderly stay cool. Greater Works Assembly Pastor Darryl Winston and his congregation want to collect and distribute at least 500 fans to elderly citizens around the metro Atlanta area, and this weekend, they're holding a collection drive.

If you'd like to donate a fan, you can bring yours to the church on Friday, June 29 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., or on Saturday, June 30 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

For more information to volunteer or donate fans or money, contact Greater Works Assembly at greaterworksassembly.org or call them at 404-919-7812.
