Police Name Suspect Involved In One-Man Crime Spree

Posted: Updated:

Police have named a suspect in the one-man crime spree that has store owners in the Northeast on edge.

The man wanted in connection with a string of robberies, including two at different Game Stop locations, is 20 year-old Maurice Connelly.

Last Friday, the gun-toting bandit hit a Dunkin Donuts on the 5300 block of Chew Avenue. Then, on Sunday, he robbed a Game Stop store just a few doors down.

On Monday, he was back at it, robbing a Game Stop on the 2900 block of North Broad and tying up everyone in the place.

Police say the bandit left his fingerprints behind on a note he posted on the front door saying the store was closed while he was robbing the joint.

Fingerprints and several tips led to the identification of Connelly.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact police.
