Ga. museum offers different look at old cars

Posted: Updated:
WHITE, Ga. -

It's a car museum of sorts. Old Car City, USA in White, Georgia has over 4,000 vehicles on display, many of them decades old. Buying one is not out of the question.

It is said that there are more vehicles at the museum than there are people in White.

Cars and trucks dating from the 1940 and 50s are all over the 40 acre property owned by the Lewis family. They say it's the world's largest old car collection. The family has been buying and selling cars for decades. Owner Dean Lewis says his favorite car is a 1944 coupe.

Photographers come to snap bizarre scenes of trees growing through metal, and towers made of trucks.

Old Car City, USA is more a museum than a dealership. If you want one bad enough, you can make an offer. But finding that dream car of yours will require a lot of walking.

The museum is 60 miles north of Atlanta. Take Interstate 75 to exit 293, then travel two miles north on US 411 to Old Car City, USA. For more information or reservations, call 770-382-6141. You can also visit their website by clicking here.
