Former Atlanta Falcon Jamal Anderson is facing DUI charges, according to DeKalb County police. Anderson was arrested early Sunday morning after he was stopped in the 3000 block of Chamblee Tucker Road.
No other details were immediately available regarding Anderson's arrest. He was released from jail when he posted bond later on Sunday.
Anderson, 39, was a seventh-round draft pick by the Falcons in 1994. He played for the team for eight season before suffering a career-ending knee injury. Earlier this year, Anderson joined more than 100 other retired football players to sue the NFL, alleging that league officials hid the dangers of concussions from them.
