Man transported to hospital after being hit by train

Police investigate a man hit by a train in northwest Atlanta on Saturday, June 23, 2012.
ATLANTA -
A man hit by a freight train in northwest Atlanta on Saturday morning will live to tell the tale.
Firefighters at the scene say that two people were walking along the train tracks near Delmar Lane and Middleton Road when they were struck shortly after 10 a.m.
The CSX locomotive did try to stop after spotting the pair.
Only one of the men needed to be transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. Officials say he is expected to survive.
