Nick had been battling leukemia since 2009. After eight months of intense chemotherapy, his leukemia went into remission only to have it resurface in January. Last month, doctors discovered the cancer had spread to his bone marrow.
Saturday morning, FOX 5's Kaitlyn Pratt received the sad news from his sister that Nick passed away. It is not often that a story touches us like this and we are honored to have shared in such a special surprise for Nick. His courage is inspiring.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 27 at the North Metro Church in Marietta where he was a member of the congregation. He will lie in repose at the church from 10 until 11 a.m. Interment will follow after the service. The family will receive friends at on Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m.
