ATLANTA (AP) - Budget cuts will mean that students at Georgia Perimeter College will have fewer tutors and less people to answer questions about financial aid or what courses to take.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/LaD7iQ) that 92% of the cuts are in student affairs. The division of the metro Atlanta college includes admissions, financial aid, student life and advising and counseling.

The 2-year school is trying to cope with what could be a $25 million deficit next year.

State auditors are analyzing the college's financial records to understand how the school's deficit grew so large.

Georgia Perimeter is the state's third-largest public college, teaching nearly 27,000 students at sites in Alpharetta, Clarkston, Covington, Decatur and Dunwoody.
